Get More Out of Your Boat!

We believe there's no better way to improve your skills and build confidence as a sailor than racing.  Handling your boat in different conditions can't be beat for getting the most return on your investment.

Whether you're an experienced skipper or crew member, a recreational boat owner, or a total novice, we invite you to join us for races throughout spring, summer, and fall.  We race for fun, community, quality time on-the-water, and bragging rights.

Race as much or as little as works for you, or come sail around the races for the view and come join us for BBQ and community after each race.

Being on the water and engaged with other boats and crews is exciting and beautifulm, but we know it can be intimidating to get started - let us help!

We work to make it fun and easy for novice crew and skippers to learn the basics of safety and right-of-way, rules and scoring, strategies for wind and tide, and work to help pair skippers with experienced crew

Every racer and skipper was a total beginner once.  Start now and build your experience, confidence, and fun.  Your future self will thank you.

Top Reasons to Race your Sailboat

• Day sailing is like playing tennis without a net

• It helps make you a much better sailor

• It gets you out on the water more often

• Racing is always a challenge (sometimes of your patience!)

• There’s something for everyone from - detail oriented people to those who love a challenge

• It helps you focus on keeping your boat in tip top shape

The teamwork it requires develops great friendships

"Yacht racing might bring to mind blue blazers and exclusive private clubs but it’s really an open arena where anyone, well you need a boat (or better know someone with a boat!) can participate.

I heard a sailboat instructor once say to her students; “I can teach you the basics of sailing a boat in an afternoon on the water, but you’ll spend the rest of your life becoming a good sailor.” I heartily agree with her summation of the sport, but I would add; “If you want to speed up the process, go race your boat!” Someone once said that you can learn in one season racing your boat what would take you five seasons to learn from casual day sailing."
